Once you get your car you can obtain some basic registration information in the form of previous keepers from DVLA. It will cost you £5.00, and you simply get details of previous owners of your car from.

 

 

You will need to request details by using form V888 available from DVLA link below.

 

 

Give them details of your car, such as model, type and registration number. (make sure you complete ALL the boxes and also ensure that you are the current registered keeper shown on the latest issued V5c)

 

Enclose a Cheque for £5.00 (currently) made out to "DVLA Swansea"

 

 

 

Only by Post, send the V888 and any other supporting information together with your Cheque to:

You will see from the V888 form  that there are strict conditions attached to supplying the information and be aware that it can take several weeks to come through.

 

 

Keeper History from DVLA.

 

The information you will receive is limited to the DVLA’s system records of keepers and does not relate to insurance loss history etc.

The printouts you get are ‘photocopies’ of ‘micro fiche’  V5 transfer records and are not always clear to read.
