Initial inspections, checks and tests show that the car was described correctly by the seller, although the extent of brake seizure was not made [completely locked up all round] clear but was pretty much as I expected.
Given the parts that had been fitted by previous owner - hood, battery, exhaust system - and the general condition of the car overall I felt that the sale price was about right.
Having now done some detailed work getting prices for repairs and rebuilding where necessary I expect that a minimum of £800 would be needed to get it back on the road, however, as I want to get it back into a more ‘restored’ condition I feel this could rise to £1,500 or a little more. I will not aim at ‘concourse’ grade!
