Doors and windows.
The door cards (linings) are both lose and dirty and appear to have been left that way following attempted repairs.
The electric windows on both sides are typically faulty as they drop at a normal speed but will only wind upwards slowly if at all.
The electric mirrors have also predictable faults on the mechanism with the control ‘joy stick’ being uneven and jerky.
The door card on the off side is badly indented by repeated obstruction and contact with the seat belt buckle when closing the door.
The quarter window frames are also rusted along the bottom rail as is quite normal.
The door locking and latches are all disconnected and inoperable on first inspection.
A limited amount of work time was needed to restore full operation of locks with keys and manual latches etc, but final adjustments are still needed following repairs to the window mechanisms and glass seals.
The main windscreen has two impact damage marks on it, one of which has been repaired and seal patched, the other is a deep stone chip but of no significance for MOT.
The windscreen wipers are both functional at all speeds and the blades are quite serviceable but should be replaced if going for MOT.
