About me.

This is not quite true as I have already converted a Renault Master MK1 from a mini bus into an auto camper, this was a conversion not a restoration though.

I have never been confident in the standard of finish I achieve with steel bodied car repairs, partly due to not having the right equipment I know but mainly because I just cannot get a professional finish to the coachwork no matter how hard I try.

For quite some time I was looking at just any cheap plastic bodied car, mainly the Reliant ‘Rebel’ and ‘Kitten’ as they are four wheeled cars, not the ‘dell-boy’ three wheelers that are always painted yellow and have some silly ’Trotter’ type logo on the side these days. I am one for originality as you will see as we go along.

My Reliant SS1 project?

This is the short story of how and why I chose the Reliant SS1 car for my first restoration project.
